As the Discrimination Complaint Resolution Coordinator (DCRC) my role is to provide an informal means of resolving complaints in which people believe they have been discriminated against on a protected basis. This position is important to the campus community because the University of California does not support discrimination in any form at its campuses.
Multicultural collaboration is transformative and diversity in our campus community enables us to capitalize on the depth and breadth of experiences and ideas that can be woven into the fabric of our campus culture and community.
My work is collaborative diversity incarnate because discrimination transcends all of the protected membership categories, both on the front-end of the interface with a complainant who may occupy any class position, and on the back-end through collaboration with employees in any given unit on campus who also are members of protected and unprotected classes.
