Julian Ledesma

Julian Ledesma serves as Associate Director of the Centers for Educational Equity andExcellence (CE3). CE3 is a cluster of seven programs (and two initiatives) designed to serve the needs of the approximately 14,000 non-traditional students at Berkeley including low-income, first-generation, historically underrepresented, veteran, parent, transfer, re-entry, and current/former foster care students. Julian is also the director of the largest of the CE3 units, the EducationalOpportunity Program (EOP), which delivers individualized academic counseling to Berkeley undergraduates. EOP academic counselors focus on the multiple aspects of college transition and consider students as partners in a developmental journey towards academic, professional, and personal life goals.

Julian completed his undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley and his master’s degree at San Francisco State University. He is also an active member of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) and was elected chair of NACADA Region 9 for 2015-2017.
